1280px-Dakotanewyork.jpg

番組中には Beatles の楽曲やクリスマス曲、局ジングル「This is the Far East Network」も入っています。

These are rare radio cassette recordings (90 minutes × 2 tapes) made a few hours after the event on December 1980.

They were recorded from the Far East Network (FEN) Iwakuni broadcast, which could be received in Japan at the time. The news reports “Today John Lennon was shot and killed,” making it near-immediate coverage, read by a male announcer.

The program also includes Beatles songs, Christmas music, and the station jingle, “This is the Far East Network.”

The cassettes are believed to be in chronological order: Red label B → Red label A → Blue label B → Blue label A.

Please note that, as old cassettes, there may be some audio degradation due to age.
